About the blog
This blog is meant to entertain, illustrate, generate discussion, and grow me a full head of luscious hair. (note: One of the previous statements may possibly be asking for too much.)
It’s about advertising and marketing…with an international twist. Pretty simple.
How? My entire career and personal life has been in the international arena, and I currently live and work in Shanghai, China. One cool thing about our industry is its global scope, and I hope to be able to bring a little taste of it to you.
I’ll be posting a daily “Ad of the Day”, as well as often with more in-depth advertising thoughts. Please check in often, and contribute with your comments – I promise I’ll respond to each and every one, and maybe we can get an interesting conversation going.
Be sure to click on the little circles in the “Featured Blog” section at the very top of the page, to see the other past posts that are featured.
Oh, and one more thing: I work at Ogilvy & Mather Shanghai, but the views and content in this blog are my own, they don’t represent those of Ogilvy. Got it?
About the author
The “tweet” version: International advertising guy, family man, soccer fan, on a mission to enjoy life.
My entire personal and professional life has taken place in an international setting. This (I think) gives me a perspective on our industry that is different than the norm, and hopefully it can contribute to the virtual conversation on the blogosphere.
I started this blog with two main objectives:
- To reinforce the personal discipline of being observant and thoughtful about the advertising and marketing industry.
- To exchange ideas, meet people, and grow my perspective of the business that I work in.
To be a thought leader one day, the first step is to be a thought contributor.
This is my first step.
