Every morning I scour the web and look at 10 random ads (in any medium) from around the non-US world. Then I post for you my Ad of the Day. Some days it will be awesome, some days you might not like it. But it’s the Ad of the Day!
Today it’s actually a 2 minute case study
Today’s pick:
- Agency: N/A
- Location: Amsterdam, Holland
- Client: KLM
- Name: “Live reply”
- Why I like it: This was put together by KLM to introduce their social media service. 15 years ago, they would have put out a print ad. Today, this is how it gets done. The “how it’s done” is interesting and buzz-worthy…but it all really works because of the “what”: it’s an amplification of KLM’s central promise of service. By humanizing the response to such an extent (ie: employees holding up the letters and responding within the hour), they provide a reason to believe in a very memorable and differentiated fashion. It’s not every day that you see a corporation come up with these types of stunts. Nicely done, KLM!
